Learn How to Make Christmas Santa Hats Using Paper Bead Techniques

Making Christmas Santa Hats is a super fun project that can be used for creating unique Christmas ornaments, snowman hats, Christmas garlands and more.

This Page Shows How To Make Your Santa Claus Hats In Four Different Sizes

Large Hats (this is the same size hat as the one made in the video, and is the largest of the four)

Make the largest handmade Christmas Santa hat using these dimensions. This is the same size paper hat I showed how to make in my video

Cut strip A to B

  • Entire strip is 12" long
  • End A  is 1" wide
  • End B is 3/4" wide

Cut strip C to D

  • Entire strip is 12" long
  • End C is 1/2" wide
  • End D is 3/4" wide

Cut strip E to F

  • Entire strip is 12" long
  • End E is 1/2" wide
  • End F is 1/4" long

Cut strip G

  • Entire strip is 12" long
  • Both ends are 1/4" wide

Tape the ends together that are the same in width, just as shown in the video

  1. Tape end B onto end D
  2. Tape end C onto end E
  3. Tape end F onto either end of strip G 

This will make one strip 4 feet in length

Medium Hats

Make a medium handmade Christmas Santa hat using these dimensions. These paper hats are easy to make

Cut strip A to B

  • Entire strip is 12" in length
  • End A is 1/2" wide
  • End B is 3/4" wide

Cut strip B to D

  • Entire strip is 12" in length
  • End C is 1/2" wide
  • End D is 1/4" wide

Cut strip E

  • Length of strip is 9" in length
  • Both ends are 1/4' wide

Tape the ends together that are the same in width, just as shown in the video.

  1. Tape end A onto end C
  2. Tape end D onto either end of strip E 

This will make one strip almost 3 feet in length

Small Hats

Make a small handmade Christmas Santa Claus hat using these dimensions

Cut strip A to B

Cut a 12" strip in half to make A to B which will then be 6" in length (discard the left over).

  • End A is 1/2" wide
  • End B is a bit wider than end A

Cut strip C to D

  • Entire strip stays 12" in length
  • End C is 1/2" wide
  • End D is 1/4 inch wide

Cut strip E

  • Strip E is cut to 6" in length
  • Both ends are 1/4 wide

Tape the ends together that are the same in width, just as shown in the video.

  1. Tape end A onto end C
  2. Tape end D onto either end of strip E 

This will make one strip 2 feet in length

Make a

Cut strip A to B

  • Entire strip is 12" in length
  • End A is 1/2" wide
  • End B is 1/4 wide

Cut strip C

  • Strip C is cut to 6" in length
  • Both ends of C are 1/4" wide

Tape the ends together that are the same in width, just as shown in the video.

  1. Tape end B onto either end of C

This will make one strip 1 & 1/2 feet in length
